What Does The "SuperLawyer" Logo
Tell You?
Like other firms who's attorneys have
been
awarded the Connecticut SuperLawyer designation, Alderman &
Alderman is proud to display the SuperLawyer logo on our
website.
The designation was provided by the Law and Politics Magazine to
lawyers that it concluded where in the top 5% of the lawyers in
the state for their respective areas of practice. The list
was published in the Connecticut Magazine. The methodology
employed was reported to include the opinions of 13,000 active
lawyers in Connecticut who have practice for 5 years or
longer.

The first year of the
SuperLawyers list
for Connecticut was 2006. Myles H. Alderman, Jr. was first selected as
a
Connecticut SuperLawyer in the areas of Business Litigation and
Business Bankruptcy Law in that year.
>
Linda Alderman (who practiced
Environmental Law from 1987 until going on medical leave) was selected
as a SuperLawyer for her work in the areas of Environmental Law
and Land Use
before she went on inactive status.
Some people have questioned whether
the use of the term "SuperLawyer" may be misleading. There are
many very capable lawyers licensed to practice law in
Connecticut. The fact that a lawyer has been selected
by Law and Politics Magazine
as a "Connecticut SuperLawyer," does not guarantee that that lawyer
will be able to provide legal services that are better than
another lawyer who was not selected as a Connecticut SuperLawyer.
There are literally thousands of lawyers
in Connecticut. Some may have offices closer to you. Some
may have lower hourly rates. Some may have more experience with a
particular area of law.
