Since 1987 Ms. Alderman has provided advice to Property Owners, Industrial Manufacturers, Large and Small Businesses, Lending Institutions, Developers, Individuals, and Municipalities  related to a vast spectrum of environmental matters. These issues include:  Soil and Groundwater Contamination, Regulatory Compliance, Solid and Hazardous Waste Management; Underground Storage Tanks; Water Pollution Control; Asbestos Management; Emergency Spill Response; Redemption Cost Recovery; Underground Storage Tank Fund Applications; Transfer Act Compliance, Environmental Due Diligence for Corporate and Real Estate Transactions, EPA and Connecticut DEP State Enforcement Proceedings.  
       
Ms. Alderman was born in New York City in 1963.  She was educated at Northwestern University (B.A. History, 1984) and Syracuse University College of Law: Syracuse N.Y. (J.D., 1987) where she was the Executive Editor of the Syracuse Law Review and an Instructor of Legal Writing and Advocacy.  

Ms. Alderman's work in the Administrative Environmental Matters area has provided significant experience and contacts before the Environmental Protection Agency, the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection and the Connecticut Department of Health Services, as well as numerous local commissions.  

In addition to representing the interests of her clients, Ms. Alderman devotes time each year to sharing her knowledge with others in the bar.  She authored the Connecticut Chapter of the “State Environmental Law Special Report" Government Institutes.        

Ms. Alderman is admitted to practice before State and Federal Courts in Connecticut.        
        
She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association: Conservation and Environmental Quality Section, and the American Bar Association: Natural Resources, Energy and Environmental Law Section.  Ms. Alderman is also a member of the Town of West Hartford Conservation and Environment Commission.
