Prior to joining her husband as founding partners of
Alderman & Alderman, Linda was an environmental attorney
in the Hartford office of Robinson and Cole from 1987 though
1991. Linda W. Alderman acted as managing
partner at Alderman & Alderman and led the firm's
environmental practice from the firm's inception in 1992
through 2006. Successfully guiding clients through a range
of complex cases including the representation of scores of
residents in what local media referred to as
"Connecticut's Love Canal."
She was instrumental
in the drafting the regulations for underground storage
tanks and volunteered substantial time and energy to land
use and environmental causes with the goal of enhancing
the natural resources all around us.
Linda stepped down from the practice of law in 2006
as a result of complications from a rare disease. She
also is also a two time breast cancer survivor.
Linda experienced the challanges facing those with rare
diseases and those facing the most common forms of cancer,
Linda. She now volunteers her time to help advocacy
organizatoins and legislators understand the challenges that
patients face. She has volunteered as an advocate for
Are You Dense and American Cancer Society, Cancer Action
Network, most recently as state lead. As a result of
her advocacy, many Connecticut residents have access to
early screening that improves prognosis and saves lives.
